Professional Information
I am trained as an Art Therapist with an MA in Art Therapy from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. During my training I gained experience working with adolescents, individuals living with cancer, and adults with chronic mental health issues. Since completing my Master’s I have created and implemented programs abroad with adults and children in Uganda, I worked as an Art Therapist at an inpatient treatment center for adolescents in Seattle, and spent 3 years working with low income adults with chronic mental health issues, 2 years working as a child and family therapist at Ryther, and 2 years co-facilitating a Survivors of Suicide support group at the King County Crisis Clinic.
Starting in 2017 I supervised practicum students at Antioch University as an adjunct instructor. From 2019-2022 I worked as an Affiliate Faculty in the Creative Arts Therapy Department at Antioch University in Seattle. While working as a part time faculty member I also taught Ethics in Creative Arts Therapy and supervised students during their practicum and internship.
In 2019 I completed trainings for Level 1 and Level 2 Lifespan Integration, which I use with interested clients. I also completed an approved WA state Supervisor training in 2019 and I currently supervise LMHCA and ATR-P candidates.
I have been meeting with children, adolescents, and adults in my private practice since 2013.
Personal Interests
I grew up in Southern California, lived in Northern California for 6 years, spent 2 years in Chicago, and finally landed in Seattle in 2008. As a resident of Seattle I can easily pursue my passions and interests. Being surrounded by mountains and various bodies of water gives me the opportunity to connect with nature. I have also reconnected with pottery and love spending time in the clay studio. And connecting with friends and family is always something I seek out to feed my soul.
